Yield: 3 Layers

2 1/4	c	All-purpose flour
4	oz	Pkg chocolate pudding mix
1	ts	Salt
1	ts	Soda
1 1/2	c	Brown sugar, packed
2/3	c	Butter
1	c	Buttermilk
3		Eggs
1	ts	Vanilla
1	c	Chocolate chips

Sift flour, mix, salt, and soda. Add brown sugar, butter, and buttermilk. Beat 90 sec with an electric mixer on low or 225 strokes by hand. Add eggs and vanilla and beat 90 more sec with an electric mixer on low or 225 strokes by hand.

Pour into 3 8" round layer pans, bottoms greased and floured. Sprinkle 2 oz chocolate chips over each layer.

Bake at 350 for 30-35 min. Cool and frost.

Frosting: 1/4 c butter 1/3 c milk 1 c chocolate chips 1 lb confectioner's sugar

Melt the first three ingredients together. Stir in confectioner's sugar.
